Amelia Moran – President/Co-Founder
Amelia has 28 years of experience in the optical industry. VFC was born from a desire to leave corporate optical and to help others access quality vision care and eyewear. She wanted to make a difference in her home of Chicago and could not find a non-profit to work for, so she started her own!
Richard Moran – Director of Operations
Originally from Toronto before moving to Chicago in 2015, he has a master’s in public policy focused on criminal justice reform. His experience spans nonprofit, academic, and legislative settings. He is grounded in a strong commitment to equity and community impact.
Dennis Siemsen – Board President and Ret. OD
Dr. Dennis has been helping people see for 50 years. A Chicago native, he has a long career with the Illinois College of Optometry here is Chicago as well as being on staff with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Susan Renteria – Program Coordinator
Born and raised in Chicago, as a person who is formerly incarcerated, Susan knows first hand the difficulties of returning home with limited resources. She is fully invested in making sure that vision is not a roadblock for others who are justice-involved.
